New Products
Miele's new G 7836 CD washer-disinfector is ideal for use in clinics and laboratories and is suited to a wide range of applications, including washing, rinsing and drying of pipettes and narrow-necked glassware. Freely programmable Profitronic controls have 42 programme slots which allow the machine to be customised to meet the individual process requirements of laboratories. The 'Oxivario' option on the machine provides a new processing method in the field of organic chemistry and microbiology.
This 90 cm freestanding machine with the model designation G 7836 CD is a development on previous tried-and-tested Miele washer-disinfectors. The new machine can be used for special applications and operated using the innovative OxiVario method which makes excellent cleaning results possible, in organic chemistry or microbiology. Mobile injector units for the most varied of applications in laboratories are available for the G 7836 CD. Freely programmable Profitronic controls make programme customisation possible.

Programmable controls
The G 7836 CD washer-disinfector features Miele's reliable Profitronic controls which allow cleaning and disinfection processes to be tailored to the specific needs of laboratories. In addition to 22 standard and service programmes, up to 42 programme slots are available for customers' own programmes. During programme cycles, a large, easily legible display provides the user with information on programme number, programme name, programme block and target/actual process parameters (e.g. temperature, water intake volume, etc.). An automatic mobile unit sensor system ensures the machine independently selects the correct programme for the laboratory equipment.Additional control options are provided by potential-free contacts. External systems such as feed lines for purified water, venting systems, external central dispensing systems, etc. can be controlled via appropriate output signals. Input signals ensure that the machine can be switched off automatically, for example at peak load times.
Improved cleaning performance
An additional spray arm below the roof of the cabinet on the new washer-disinfectors guarantees improved cleaning performance. This arm, together with a bottom spray arm, ensures improved external cleaning of laboratory equipment, i.e. this equipment is washed and rinsed from above and below irrespective of the baskets or injector units used. The new machine has two durable bellows-type dispenser pumps fitted as standard and two more can be retrofitted if required. The dispenser drawer compartment offers space for process chemicals. This drawer provides space for four storage containers, each with a capacity of five litres.
Improved machine design
The new spaceframe construction of the washer-disinfectors means that the inner cabinet and the outer casing are separate and unconnected entities. This reduces propagation of structurally-borne sound and heat emissions which results in less heat radiation into the room. This design clearly lowers the level of spray noises (vibration from the inner cabinet). Fast and simple removal of the outer panelling makes any necessary repair work by service technicians easier and reduces service times. Faster service times mean lower service costs.Improved reproducibility of programmes and increased process safety are achieved by the use of flowmeters installed in the water intake and two redundant temperature sensors in the sump. The flowmeters control and monitor the amount of water entering the machine for individual programme blocks which is why the programmed water intake volumes for individual wash cycles are constant. Identical water intake volumes mean more consistent concentrations of process chemicals (important for cleaning and neutralisation) and more uniform rinsing of laboratory equipment.
New cleaning programmes
In addition to the tried-and-tested 'Standard', 'Universal' and 'Intensive' programmes, the machine is equipped with the 'Anorganica' and 'Organica' new special programmes and, as an optional extra, 'Oxivario'. 'Anorganica', for example, is designed for use on glassware contaminated with inorganic residue and is designed, among others, to be used in the field of inorganic analysis, for example water analysis. 'Organica' has been developed to remove solid or viscous organic matter such as oil, grease, wax or ointment. The 'Oxivario' programme is mainly used for the removal of organic matter (e.g. proteins) through oxidation in the field of instrument processing or microbiology.
Furthermore, the machine also features thermal disinfection programmes, permitting laboratory glassware from microbiological or clinical laboratories contaminated with microorganisms to be disinfected with an adequate margin of safety.
Integrated printer
A printer can be integrated into the machine as an optional extra. Such a printer makes it possible to print the settings of the machine, the programmed programmes and a batch protocol.
